It all started for me when I bought my first set of decks aged 14 from a school friend back in 1996. This was an exciting time for music in the UK. Britpop and Cool Britannia in full flow as well as the massive explosion of rave culture and it’s cross over in to the mainstream. Musically spoilt for choice is an understatement!

THE

BEGINNING

Went from a bedroom DJ to playing local youth clubs and private parties quickly. This progressed to bars and clubs, have also spent many hours playing pubs and small hall venues which also happen to be my favourite. Ability to beat match and mix are my foundation. Song selection and ability to play to the crowd has improved over time with practice and experience. Am always learning and every party brings something new.

My early influences were: jungle, drum & bass, house, garage and 90’s hip-hop. I still play these styles as well as: grime, Indie, R&B, reggae, dancehall, nu-soul, club classics and multiple other emerging sub-genres, to represent the amazing scope of UK musical culture available for us to enjoy. This as well as the best music from the around the world.

JOURNEY

The UK music scene has seen exciting and dynamic shifts in the last decade. Has become an increasingly blurred musical landscape that overlaps pop, indie, urban and electronic styles.

Good music is good music regardless of its origin or which audience are listening. Underground or mainstream: has never mattered to me! Furthermore: true good vibes are timeless. You can get as big a reaction from floor-fillers from 30 years ago, as you can from the latest number one in the UK charts.
